San-Japan Convention T-shirt and Poster Design Competition

These were competition pieces. There were 2 parts to the competition- to draw a t-shirt design for the convention's theme that year, and/or to design a poster/promotional art based on the theme.

The theme was quinceanera. They preferred you incorporate their mascot characters: Sana and her chibi friends(armadillo, longhorn, and bat). For each design I wanted to incorporate elements inspired by quinceanera traditions. For the shirt I wanted to incorporate the tradition of candles, and for the post I wanted to incorporate dancing with family and friends.
